Ben Pendergrass — Director of Government Relations

Ben Pendergrass is an experienced government affairs and policy professional with 22 years’ experience in Washington D.C. He specializes in a range of policy issues, including climate, conservation, agriculture, and energy. Ben began his career working as a Legislative Aide to Senator Pete V. Domenici (R-N.M.). He later served as Senior Vice President, Policy & Legislative Affairs at the American Horse Council, a national trade association representing over 130 organizations and a $102 billion industry. In this role, Ben advanced multiple policy priorities of the industry, many focused on the conservation of and access to U.S. public lands.

Most recently, Ben served as Vice President of Government Affairs at Citizens’ Climate Lobby, a nonpartisan, grassroots climate advocacy organization, where he was responsible for leading federal legislative efforts on climate, clean energy, and agriculture policy with an emphasis on bipartisan action.

He holds a B.A. in History from Tulane University.
